We have Lived and Breathed Letterboxing in Oregon!

This September, Marissa (Gollygee) and I went to Oregon to go to a HUGE, 3 day letterboxing event called, We All Live and Breathe Letterboxing. It was the 10th anniversary of letterboxing in the U.S.!

This is the event stamp!

We flew into Portland, OR late Wednesday night. And was greeted and picked up by the wonderful Susan (KUKU). She was our gracious host for the week and let Marissa and I stay with her before and after the event.

Early Thursday morning we got up to go to Susan's beautiful church for a Meet and Great the East Coasters event, held and hosted by Susan as well! She made wonderful blueberry waffles and everyone else chipped in and brought goodies and we had a wonderful brunch!

Some of us finding a letterbox outside, so Alice took a quick group photo. After this photo was taken we headed out for a local letterbox and munched on many, many, blackberries. & got to meet up with more letterboxers that evening.

Friday we left Susan's house and headed out to Molala, OR for the L&B event, but we stooped in Oregon City and checked out some of the sites.

Being the silly east-coasters that we are, we tried to prank Wassa, by stealing all of his boxers' and wearing them to the Ball, but the joke was on us, he was not there to see us in all of our glory!

The 3 day event was incredible and so very well done! We had a great time and hope to get to go to it again!

That Monday morning, we got up early and headed out to the West Coast.

Mid-Coast Camping LB event and The Butterfly Place

These last 2 weeks have been busy and fun! Last weekend we got to go to, Letterboxing in Historic Mid-Coast Maine, we camped there for 2 nights, got many amazing letterboxes, and just had a wonderful time!

2 Nights before we left to go camping, Kreppi Kelli, her daughter Sabrina, and her dog, Bonnie came up to Maine and spent a few nights at our house.

And of course we took her letterboxing!

We got to do some great night boxing. In the dark we held flash lights and waved them back and forth, and the letterboxes would light up when the light hit them (they had reflective tape on them) Look in Indigo's hand, there is a letterbox in it!

Fourth of July and Portcon

This year to celebrate the fourth of July, we went to Glen, NH with my nephews and parents. We went swimming at Diana's Bath, a gorgeous hike of cascading water falls that you can walk through and swim in.

At these conventions, everyone dresses up (except me and Marissa) and I am not sure who these two are, but they had awesome costumes!
